The CI2019 Pediatric Symposium will assemble a multi-specialty group of clinicians and scientists to explore the 2019 Program Theme: Treating the Whole Child. The CI2019 Pediatric Program will explore the following topics:

  1. Beyond the CI: The Role of Therapy, Education and Family Engagement
  2. Moving the Field Forward: Expanding Indications & Special Needs Populations
  3. New Models of Service Delivery: Models for a Global Healthcare Market
  4. Complex Cases: Surgical and Audiological Management
  5. Advancements in Pediatric CI: Science, Technology, and Medicine

Abstract Submission

Abstract submission for CI2019 is now closed. The deadline was December 6, 2018.

Guidelines: Please review all guidelines pertaining to submission. Click here to review the CI2019 Abstract Guidelines and the CI2019 Continuing Education Guidelines.

Abstract Review and Notification: The Program Committee has the responsibility to review and rank all abstracts that are submitted. Abstracts will be considered for both Podium and Poster Presentations. Email notifications will be sent to corresponding authors no later than February 28, 2019.

Registration Requirement: Upon acceptance, all presenting authors of both oral and poster presentations must register for the meeting and are responsible for their registration and travel expenses. Failure to register by March 20, 2019 will result in removal from the scientific program.

Student Poster Competition: A Student Poster Competition will be held for those enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate, residency or fellowship program. Student authors may indicate if an abstract should be considered for the Student Poster Competition as a part of the abstract submission process.

Posters entered in the competition will be judged on:

  • Content/Poster Organization and Preparation
  • Display Appearance
  • Originality and Merit
  • Oral Discussion/Knowledge and Presentation
