The CI2019 Pediatric Symposium will assemble a multi-specialty group of clinicians and scientists to explore the 2019 Program Theme: Treating the Whole Child. The CI2019 Pediatric Program will explore the following topics:

About ACI Alliance

The American Cochlear Implant Alliance is a not-for-profit membership organization created with the purpose of eliminating barriers to cochlear implantation by sponsoring research, driving heightened awareness and advocating for improved access to cochlear implants for patients of all ages across the US. ACI Alliance members are clinicians, scientists, educators, and others on cochlear implant teams as well as parent and consumer advocates. An annual meeting for professional members is convened.

Abstract Submission

The Call for Abstracts for CI2019 Pediatric is Now Open! The scientific program committee welcomes your abstract submissions on the CI2019 Program Themes, as well as other research on cochlear implants and other auditory technology. All presenters of papers and posters are required to register for CI2019 and are responsible for their own travel expenses.

The Program Committee has the responsibility to review and rank all abstracts that are submitted. Abstracts will be considered for both Podium and Poster Presentations. Student Poster Competition: A Student Poster Competition will be held for those enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate, residency or fellowship program. An academic advisor or another university official must verify student/resident status.  Students may enter a poster abstract for the competition as part of the CI2019 Call for Abstracts.

Join us for a Saturday Afternoon Spanish Language Symposium:

Leading clinicians and researchers from Latin America and the United States will come together to provide a global perspective on managing the whole child from a multi-disciplinary perspective. Complex pediatric cases and advanced program strategies will be considered. This 3-hour post-conference segment will be given entirely in Spanish language.

There will be a small additional cost to attend for registered CI2019 Attendees, and also an opportunity for non-CI professionals with an interest in pediatric hearing loss who are not attending the CI2019 meeting to attend the Symposium for a fee. Registration will be available in January 2019.

Access: The conference is accessible to people with hearing loss. All sessions on Wednesday-Saturday morning will have real-time captioning in English. Spanish language captions will be available on attendees’ smart phones and pads.

Childcare: Childcare is available. The Diplomat offers a supervised childcare program onsite at the Kids Club for children ages 4-12 years.
